Riga Sugar board clears Rs600mn capex for expansion

Riga Sugar Company Ltd said on Thursday that its Board of Directors has decided to implement the expansion to increase the crushing capacity of its sugar factory at Riga, Dist Sitamarhi (Bihar) to 5000 TCD.
The board has also decided to set up a power co-generation plant of 7.7 MW capacity adjacent to the above sugar factory and to set up an Etanol Plant of 45 KLPD capacity as well as an ENA plant of 25 KLPD capacity in the distillery unit of the Company situated at the above location.
The cost of aforesaid Expansion-cum-Diversification Scheme of the Company along with additional working capital is estimated to be Rs600mn.
