Every City is having its own economy , look back and ask HISTORY , all major cities across the globe always find a river by its side , So PATNA is having beautiful GANGA :)
Different Government always tried to have a good look of PATNA but its our bad luck that in last 20 years , PATNA condition deterioted on every front and no one can be blamed except citizens . I have seen people rarely follow any rules and regulation and government also fail to implement RULEs . Same PATNAites follow rules and regulation outside the state , Certainly credit goes with other state government .
Any way , NITISH Kumar government has initiated a concept of GREATER PATNA which may constitute of satellite cities in around PATNA . We all must welcome such decisions . Above all , any Good City in INDIA never mean to only rich people . Have a look of BANGALORE , It required hard work of all stake holders of CIVIL ENGINEERING . We have some well planned and well designed cities like BANGALORE / NAVI MUMBAI / NOIDA / Greater NOIDA / CHANDIGARH / GHAZIABAD etc .....if you look at these cities , you will come to know that they all are banking on good Industrial policies by thier respective government . For Chandigarh , they have MOHALI as Electronic City , If i am correct during JANTA PARTY era in 1977 , central Government came with two ELCTRONIC CITY , One was MOHALi and other was HAJIPUR , Near PATNA . But it was our bad luck , we fail to keep HAJIPUR as our new face of changing and marching BIHAR with other states .

A lot of activities are linked to each other and no doubt basic INFRASTRUCTURE is always needed . During Lalit Narayan Mishra we saw network of Railways lines in NORTH BIHAR and later on we had many Railways minister from JAGJIWAN RAM to LALU PRASAD , They all done thier best to UPLIFT the BIHAR INFRASTRUCTURE .
I will strongly recommend to have a INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITIES in BIHAR which must work with any CITY development Authority . Have a example of Uttar Pradesh , they don't have only NOIDA or GREATER NOIDA they have development Authority in each city even a smaller city like HAPUR , And due to these such development authories many BIHARI have invested thier hard work earning in these cities .
KANKARBAGH , PATNA was a beautiful example but PATNA is totally dependent of BIHAR GOVERNMENT OFFICEs , Patna Secreteriat is only ECONOMY so less exposure to outer world for PATNAites while BIG Industries like HEC , SRI RAM , USHA MARTIN etc created RANCHI and jamshedpur a COSMOPOLITAN LOOK.
Any CITY planner must have a VISION of 2100 because it takes atleast 20 years to become a CITY and any CITY have minimum 100+ years of life.
