He is Dr. B N Singh CEO and jt MD of JSW Ltd ( Jindal south West Steel company) . Dr B N Singh belongs to MONGHYR and has been appointed with JSW on 13th October , 2003 for 5 years . He is alumni of BIT , Sindri . before joining JSW , Dr B N singh was close to L N Mittal and has served many STEEL PLANTs in INDIA . He was also CMD of Vizag stel plant .
Dr Singh is credited with the turnaround of the ailing Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Ltd, Vizag, which he took over as Chairman & Managing Director in 1997.
He has also spent over a decade with SAIL in varied assignments as ED (Works) IISCO Burnpur, ED (Incharge) VISL Bhadravati, Managing Director Rourkela Steel Plant and Director (Personnel).

JSW today announced the appointment of Mr. Rajendra Prasad Singh as Chief Executive Officer, to spearhead the company's 10 million tonne Jharkhand Steel Project.
"Mr. Singh will be actively involved in the conceptualization and management of JSW's prestigious 10 million Steel Project at Jharkhand. We have signed a MoU with the state government last year. This is indeed a key milestone for us at JSW group as we plan to total the capacity to 20 million tpa by 2012. Rajendra Pratap Singh joins JSW from SAIL's Bhilai Steel Plant where he was responsible for a host of key initiatives. During his thirty -year tenure with the SAIL Group, Mr. Singh held senior management positions and worked on several key initiatives. He is known for his contributions in maintenance of the steel plant, managing mega projects, conceptualizing and implementing various new processes. Mr. Singh had been on the board of number of companies including Maharashtra Electro Smelt Ltd., Bharat Refractories and Hindustan Steel Construction Ltd.
Mr. Singh is a graduate in Metallurgy with distinction from Bihar Institute of Technology, Sindri.
JSW Steel had signed an agreement for its ambitious steel project with Jharkhand Government for setting up a ten million tonne capacity greenfield plant in the Hesalong area of the State at a cost of Rs. 35,000 crore. The plant is expected to commence operations by 2010, and will capitalise on vast resources available in the state. The project would benefit the state of Jharkhand by generating large-scale direct and indirect employment.
