Actor and BJP MP Shatrughan Sinha has proposed to build a film city in Bihar to promote local talents of the state.
Sinha told mediapersons that he had requested the state government to allot 100 acres of land in the state capital for the purpose.
He said, "Several artists from Bihar were working in film studios in Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai. If opportunities were provided in the state itself, it would help to check exodus of talents to other parts of the state."
With the establisment of the film city, a large number of talented people would be employed, he added. Mr Sinha said laboratories for animation films, telefilm studios and courses for training would be initiated in the proposed film city.
Meanwhile, Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi said Sinha's proposal had been referred to state indutrial promotion board.
Modi said the state government was committed to encourage investment in Bihar to accelerate the pace of development.
