NTPC expands via Muzaffarpur Thermal Power Station


National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) has took over the Muzaffarpur thermal power station on September 6, 2006 as per the decision of the Govt. of India. This acquisition has been done under the name and style of Vaishali power generating company. The company shall initially hold 51% of equity capital and the balance equity shall be subscribed by Bihar State Electricity Board (BSEB) / Govt. of Bihar. Muzaffarpur Thermal Power Station (2 x 110 MW) is located in the state of Bihar. It is a joint venture company between the company and Bihar State Electricity Board (BSEB).
