The Krishi Vigyan Kendra of Karnal-based National Dairy Research Institute today said it would be training 600 dairy farmers of Bihar to enhance milk production in the state. The training programme would be conducted in 20 batches with 30 farmers each in a batch, NDRI Director Sushil Kumar said in a statement. The training programme, being sponsored by the Bihar government's dairy development directorate, would continue till July 20 next year, he said. Bihar dairy farmers would be trained on scientific herd management, breeding, feeding and healthcare of the animals, he added.
