With a view to promoting tourism in Bihar, the NDA government has prepared an ambitious master plan with a total investment of Rs 342 crore, which would be spent to develop infrastructural facilities in various tourists' circuits across the state.Talking to reporters here, state tourism and road construction minister Nand Kishore Yadav said the government had launched several tourist circuits to attract to suit various categories of travellers visiting the state.These circuits include Buddhist interests, Jain culture, Ramayan circuit, Gandhi circuit, and Sikh interests, he added. Mr Yadav said that several hotels equipped with all kinds of modern facilities and comforts, would be established at nine selected sites under public-private participation. After the initiative taken by the government, there was a marked increase in tourist inflow last year which had also generated a revenue for the state exchequer, he added.About 94,000 foreign tourists visited the state last year, while the number of Indian tourist was more than one crore, he informed.
