American Company Begins Road Test

MSV International, an American company specializing in the development of infrastructure around the world, has begun to test Bihar roads for their quality and durability in an attempt to develop a highway system in the state that is comparable to those in developed nations.

Slated to do testing at more than 40,000 spots across the state using the most modern technology, the company has been entrusted to do testing and their worthiness before various Indian road construction companies begin work in those areas.

MSV is being paid Rs. 3.59 crore for this assignment that will last for weeks, Road Construction Minister Nand Kishore Yadav said on Friday.

Every single highway, both national and state, will be tested at various phases of the construction under the most rigorous conditions to ensure the roads last for decades with only minimal maintenance, Yadav said.
