Bihar shops a click away

Jamshedpur, April 7: Arranging for orange vermilion or traditional Singhora (box with all traditional items) sitting in Sikkim, Andaman and Nicobar Islands or any other place would no longer be an ordeal for the people of Bihar as these would be available at the click of a mouse.

Launched by the owner of the portal www.bhojp-uria.com, Bhojpuria Dukan is a one-stop destination through which the people of Bihar can order for anything related to the community from elsewhere.

Designed on the lines of popular shopping portal, this particular site has been designed to cater to the large Bhojpuri speaking population not only India but also abroad.

“These items are easily available at any place in Bihar or Jharkhand but in cities like Delhi or Mumbai it becomes very difficult to get these items, which are generally required by the people of Bihar for pujas. Therefore we decided to launch this website through which people of Bihar all over the world can shop for their necessity,” said S. Kumar, the director of Infoget Exporters and the owner of the portal.

The main aim behind launching the services was to popularise Bhojpuri culture and everything related to it.

“We have launched the site on a trial basis. Once the entire list of goods and items are ready, we will start popularising the website,” said Kumar. Goods on the portal are divided into categories. Wedding goods are listed under “Shaadi Ke Bazaar” while there are sections selling books, household items and even items required during pujas. Some of the items used during festivals such as Chhath, Raksha Bandhan and Diwali are also available.

Two categories are devo-ted to Bhojpuri music and movies.

Apart from all these products, the portal also offers web designing and site hosting.

“Any individual or company who wants to host their websites can contact us through the portal. We will design their website and publish it on the portal,” said the director.

The mode of payment on the site would be through net banking and credit cards.

“Due to logistic problem we have restricted the service to India only,” said Kumar.
