Kathmandu: Nepal and India on Wednesday agreed to start reconstruction of the damaged Kosi embankment in January.
Nepal-India Joint Committee on Water Resources meet, which concluded here Wednesday, decided to start the reconstruction of breached Kosi embankment after the water level goes down, Nepalese Water Resources Secretary Shanker Prasad Koirala said today.
The officials also agreed to expedite work related to repairing of barrage and to take measures of flood control and stop inundation at the earliest.
