CC2C is facing protest for showing ‘Buddha was born in India’ but why? Siddhartha was born to king of Kapilavastu in one village of Magadha, having capital Rajgir in today’s Bihar, India. Siddhartha, the name is Sanskrit, not spoken in Nepal, was born when his mother was on her way to Kapilvastu. Nepal formed in 1768 and Buddha was born in 563 BCE. There was no sign of Nepal even after 2000 years of Buddha’s birth.

Hehe..very funny. In 563 BC, where exactly was INDIA?
Saying that Buddha was born in Nepal only means that the place where he was born then is currently in Nepal, not trying to say Nepal existed then (and nor did India). Regarding Nepalese speaking Sanskrit, who says they don't? Both Nepali and Hindi originated from Sanskrit. And anyway, what matters where Buddha was born as long as people take the path of violence trying to possess something like this. In fact, if you truly believe in the Buddha and respect the Buddha, possession should be the least that you should be bothered about. There's way too many people fighting to possess this supposedly honorable idea that Buddha was born in Nepal or India...but who is following the Buddha for real? Who believes and follows his teachings? I mean, how many people today even really know what his teachings were?

This explains it a lot. HE WAS BORN IN NEPAL>
