Bhagalpur, Feb 17: Bihar Chief Ninister Nitish Kumar on Tuesday announced his govenment would set up a new agriculture university at an estimated cost of Rs 350 crore in Bhagalpur district.
Addressing a public meeting here in course of his 'Vikas Yatra', Kumar said the new university would be useful as the state government's priority was on the agriculture sector.
"When we have accorded priority to double production of foodgrain in the state in next four years, we have to work for intense research," he said.
The new university would work on the lines of the one in Pusa in Samastipur district.
