Sharad ridicules Lalu over his statement about Advani

PATNA: Ridiculing RJD supremo and railway minister Lalu Prasad for his reported statement that he would quit politics
if BJP leader L K Advani
became the Prime Minister, JD(U) president Sharad Yadav on Sunday said Prasad had a habit of "swearing for a thing that destiny wills otherwise."

"Prasad's swearing that he will retire from electoral politics if Advani becomes the prime minister is nothing but ridiculous," Yadav told a press conference in Patna.

"Prasad is in the habit of swearing for a thing that destiny wills otherwise," he said, pointing out that the RJD supremo had earlier predicted that Nitish Kumar was destined not to become chief minister of Bihar "but he is now holding the post of chief minister".

On Saturday, while talking to reporters at Chapra after filing the nomination papers, Prasad had reportedly said that he would take 'sanyas' from politics and would never fight any election again if Advani became the prime minister.
