After Lalu, it's turn of `Nitish's djinn'

PATNA: Once Lalu Prasad's "djinn" came out of the ballot boxes and brought victory for him. Now, as JD(U) general spokesman Shivanand Tiwary
claimed, "Nitish Kumar's djinn" will come out and drive away Lalu.

"The Mahadalits, EBCs, women and minorities who have been empowered by Nitish are the `djinn' which will sweep the elections in favour of JD(U)," he said on Sunday.

Tiwary said RJD chief Lalu and LJP president Ram Vilas Paswan were so demoralised that they were seeking the help of film actor Sanjay Dutt to draw crowds at their election meetings. "What an irony that leaders like Lalu who used to draw huge crowds on their own are now taking help of Sanjay Dutt's jhappi," he said.

Case against Rabri today:

Tiwary said JD(U) is going to file a defamation suit against leader of Opposition Rabri Devi for her remarks against Nitish and state JD(U) president Rajiv Ranjan Singh. The case will be filed in the CJM court on Monday, he added.

On Sunday, former MP Bashishth Narayan Singh joined JD(U), the party he had left a few years back. Others who joined the party included former minister and LJP national secretary Ashok Singh Kushwaha, ex-MLA Sidhnath Rai, ex-BPCC secretary Shivendra Narayan Kesri, grandson of former AICC president Sitaram Kesri and Wasim Hasan.
