FIR against Bihar Cong President, 7 others

Gaya (Bihar), Apr 8 An FIR was lodged against eight persons, including Bihar Congress President Anil Kumar Sharma for violating model code of conduct by landing their helicopter away from the helipad here.
Legislature party leader Ashok Kumar was also among those against whom the FIR was lodged.

All the eight were, however, granted bail, he said.

The FIR was lodged against Sharma, Kumar, former minister Khalid Rashid Sabha, party MLC Jyoti Kumari, pilot of the chopper Ravi Prakash, engineer Ravishanker and two others after the copter landed away from the helipad at Ranglal High School in Sherghati block of the district, SP M R Naik said.

The landing of the helicopter at the wrong place led to the uprooting of the pandal at the school due to which some people were injured, Naik said.

The FIR was registered on the basis of the report of Executive Magistrate Shiv Kumar Singh, who was deputed at the venue.
