Special status’ for Bihar: Advani

The Indian Express Writes :-

Sasaram:
NDA’s prime ministerial candidate L K Advani claimed on Friday that the Congress-led UPA Government is protecting the names of account holders at Swiss banks where Rs 25,000 lakh crore from India is deposited.
Advani also alleged that several Congressmen have their “black money deposited at Swiss banks”.
Addressing an election rally at Sasaram, the Leader of the Opposition said: “If the NDA comes to power, it will bring back all the black money from Swiss banks and spend them on development of over six lakh Bihar villages.”
Advani was campaigning for BJP candidate from Sasaram (reserved) Munilal Ram, pitted against Congress MP Meira Kumar. “Give us a chance. We will ensure that the 21st century belongs to India just as the 20th century belonged to the West,” he said.
Earlier speaking at Buxar, Advani promised a special status to Bihar if the NDA came to power at the Centre. “We will ensure a special status for Bihar to further pace up the development works initiated by the Nitish Kumar-led state Government, if the alliance is voted to power,” he said.
Addressing a rally, Advani said, “Whereas the UPA kept thinking about India, we will take care of Bharat.”
Advani also showered praises on Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for his “relentless and committed” efforts to change the face of the state.
Nitish Kumar strongly backed Advani’s candidature as the “next Prime Minister”. “A Prime Minister should also be a leader. Therefore, form a government at the Centre under the leadership of L K Advani,” he said.
