PATNA: Low-cost IndiGo airlines would launch its Kolkata-Patna-Lucknow-Delhi shuttle services from July this
year.

Sources said the proposed daily flight (6E 341) would take off from Kolkata at 10 am to reach Patna at 10.55 am. The flight would then leave for Delhi to reach there at 1.55 pm after a scheduled landing for half an hour at Lucknow at 12.20 pm.

On in its return journey, the flight (6E 342) would take off from Delhi at 3.15 pm and would reach Patna at 5.40 pm via Lucknow. It would leave for Kolkata at 6.10 pm to reach its destination at 7.10 pm.

"An IndiGo team recently visited Patna and met local Airports Authority of India (AAI) officials for completing the formalities," an AAI official, requesting anonymity, told TOI on Tuesday.

He said the office space for the private operator has already been allocated and there are a few other formalities after which IndiGo will be given the go-ahead to set up its office.

Airlines industry sources said IndiGo, on its website, has given ticket booking options for its July 5 flight and onwards to and from Patna. For now, the airline is offering promotional fares. "A Patna-Delhi ticket, for instance, would come for about Rs 2,000," said a travel agent.
