Bollywood producer-director Prakash Jha today said he proposed to invest Rs 3.00 billion in Bihar and Jharkhand to set up about 40 multiplexes.Jha told a press conference that the multiplexes would be set up at Patna, Hajipur, Muzaffarpur, Betia, Motihar, Bhagalpur, Gaya, Biharshariff, Ara, Sitamarhi in Bihar and Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Dhanbad, Bokaro and Hazaribagh in Jharkhand in the next two years, wire services said.The multiplexes would comprise of cinema theatres, entertainment zones and exclusive shops, he said.Asked about the feasibility of the projects, particularly when hundreds of theatres had been shut down during the past five years, he said lack of encouragement from the state government led to the closure of 232 cinema halls in Bihar.Referring to his sugar mill in Betiah, Jha said he would invest around Rs 2.00 billion to set up a 5000 mt per day capacity mill.
