Training to new legislative members in Bihar

In a bid to impart proper teaching and training to newly elected members of the Bihar legislature, acting chairman of the state legislative council, Prof Arun Kumar has constituted 'Bihar Legislative Study and Training Bureau'.
The Bureau has been constituted under the provisions of the legislative rules, to give proper training and teaching to the newly elected members of both the House, council sources said.
While Kumar will be the bureau's ex-officio chairman, assembly speaker Udai Narayan Choudhry and parliamentary affairs minister Ramashraya Prasad Singh will be ex-officio members of the bureau.
The members of the bureau appointed by the acting chairman are former legislators -- Indra Kumar, Kamalnath Singh Thakur, Ramanandan Singh (all former MLCs) and Upendra Prasad Verma, a former Bihar minister.
The senior most member Indra Kumar has been made member secretary of the bureau, council secretariat sources said adding that the members of the bureau would be entitled for all the facilities accorded to legislators.
A notification in this reagrd was issued by the council secretariat on Friday evening, the sources said.
