The state government has sanctioned an amount of Rs 11.20 crore for reimbursing the subsidy amount to deserving parties in accordance with the 'Industrial Promotion Policy-2006'. A decision in this regard was taken in the cabinet meeting held here on Tuesday.
Briefing mediapersons, cabinet secretary Girish Shanker said the cabinet also gave its nod to set up the National Building Construction Corporation (NBCC) Limited to prepare detailed project reports for municipal corporations under the Urban Infrastructure Development Scheme for Small and Medium Towns(UIDSSMT) and Housing & Urban Development Corporation (HUDCO) was assigned the task of making DPRs for municipalities and nagar panchayats. Both the firms have been appointed on turn-key basis.
The cabinet also sanctioned a sum of Rs 11.30 crore for infrastructural development of constituent colleges under various universities of the state.
This apart, the state cabinet approved 14 other decisions including the ones related to dismissal of the then regional director of animal husbandry department (AHD) of Purnia region O P Diwakar for his involvement in fake appointments in the department.
