Patna film fest concludes

PATNA: Indian film industry has done yeomen service to the nation by integrating all the regions through Hindi language, said governor R S Gavai while addressing the concluding ceremony of the Patna Film Festival on Friday.

Praising organisers for organising the third consecutive film festival, Gavai urged the cine-lovers to come forward for organising such things.

State Information and Public Relations Minister Arjun Rai dwelt on the five film appreciation course organised by the state government to make participants aware about the various aspects of film making.

Noted film director Prakash Jha underlined the need to organise such festivals in different parts of the state.

Noted actor and lead character of the film, Black and White , Anurag Sinha expressed gratitude to the city cine-lovers for their good response to the festival. "No such festival can be successfully organised without the support of cine-lovers," he said.

The concluding function was preceded by a seminar in which many film makers expressed their views.

Senior IAS official and former director of Film and Television Institute of India Tripurari Sharan underlined the need of giving due importance to parallel cinema while expressing his views at the seminar.

Bihar Cine Society chairman R N Das spoke at length about the role of good films in educating people.
