Eight killed in road mishap

Eight persons have been killed and six others injured when the driver lost control of a van and hit a tree on a highway near Ganjpar village in the district, police said today.

The occupants of the van were residents of Dihra village in Nalanda and the accident occurred on NH-31 while they were returning after attending a funeral, Assistant Superintendent of Police, Barh Sub-division, Sujit Kumar told media.

The six injured persons were admitted to Bakhtiarpur primary health centre from where the doctors referred three seriously injured persons to the Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH).
