Mob attacks Bihar minister Ramchandra Sahni’s convoy

Patna, Jan 23: In yet another incident of violence in Bihar, the convoy of state minister Ramchandra Sahni was attacked on Friday near Motihari.

The minister is reported to be safe with no injuries.

Ramchandra Sahni is the Minister of State in Bihar government with independent charge, and is looking after Mines and Geology ministry. The BJP MLA represents Singauli constituency.

Earlier, some unidentified gunmen shot dead an RJD leader in Bihar's Saran district when he was travelling by a motorcycle last night in a suspected fall-out of dispute over construction contract, police said today.

Hashmatullah Khan alias Bhooan Mian, aged about 40 years, was shot dead near a pond at Tujarpur under Khaira police station when he was on his way to district headquarters Chapra.

Khan's body was recovered from a field this morning.
