Guv to felicitate Maj Gen S K Singh on R-Day

PATNA: Governor R L Bhatia would felicitate Major General S K Singh on the Republic Day at Gandhi Maidan for getting the prestigious Ati Vishist
Seva Medal (AVSM).

He is currently posted in General Staff at South Command, Pune, and has been approved for his next higher rank Lieutenant General.

Meanwhile, the Governor would felicitate 14 soldiers of Indian Army, hailing from Bihar, who have been conferred with different awards for their exemplary bravery. They would be handed over cash prize and citation letters by the state government at the Republic Day function in Gandhi Maidan.

Patna DM Jitendra Kumar Sinha said that the soldiers who would be felicitated include Vice Admiral Shekhar Sinha, Major General Krishna Singh, Major General Sunil Kumar Sinha, Renu Devi -- mother of constable Rahul (posthumously), Col Rajeev Kumar, Major Upendra Kumar Srivastava, Major Sushil Kumar Pandey, Major Santosh Kumar Rai, Captain Amit Kumar Singh, Hawaldar Manindra Kumar, Indu Devi -- wife of Sailesh Kumar (posthumously) and gunner Surendra Kumar.
