PATNA: Each agriculture graduate would be given a loan of Rs 5 lakh without margin or security requirement for setting up agriclinics and
agribusiness centres.
This was stated at the inaugural of a training programme under Agriclinic & Agribusiness Centre Scheme, sponsored by the Central government to tackle unemployment among these graduates. Speaking on the occasion, nodal officer of the scheme B Misra said that the RBI has issued guidelines in this regard and 20 schemes have been suggested for setting up micro enterprises.
The different schemes relate to vermi compost, seed and fertilizer business, mushroom, fisheries, lemon grass etc. He said that the scheme has revolutionised agricultural research and marketing and agriculture graduates could become job producers. He asked the agriculture graduates to go to the rural areas and try to bridge the gap between farmers and technology.
