PATNA: The state government has sanctioned Rs 9.41 crore for reconstruction and renovation of flood-ravaged government offices and quarters of
water resource department (WRD) at Birpur in Supaul district.
"Tenders will be floated soon as the government intends to complete the work before the next monsoon," a WRD official said on Saturday.
He said WRD minister Bijendra Prasad Yadav and department principal secretary Ajay Nayak would visit the Kusaha breach site on Sunday to take stock of the ground situation. "With the breach-plugging work having been completed, the minister and the principal secretary would inspect the quality of ongoing Kosi bund strengthening work at Kusaha," the official said.
