Alarmed over reports of terrorist activity in Bihar, the state government has decided to form an anti-terrorism squad (ATS) like Mumbai.Bihar Police spokesperson Anil K. Sinha said the ATS, on the lines of the one in Mumbai, would be headed by an Indian Police Service (IPS) officer and comprise officials of the special branch of the police force.In a bid to keep a watch on terrorist activities, the ATS will establish contact with police in other states as well.The state government has been concerned after intelligence reports warned of increased terrorist activity, including Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), in districts along the India-Nepal border.
