The Railway Minister, Lalu Prasad, today announced a cash reward of Rs one lakh to Rajeev Kumar Singh, a member of gold medal winning Indian Kabbadi team at the Doha Asian Games.
Prasad also asked the Bihar Government to reward the achievements of Singh by giving him at least Rs 5 lakh.
Before flagging off Rajendra Nagar-Hazrat Nizamuddin Garib Rath at Rajendra Nagar terminal, the Railway Minister garlanded Singh and also presented a memento to him.
Singh is a railway employee and posted as TTE at Rajendra Nagar terminal.
Earlier, on arrival here from Delhi, Singh was accorded a warm welcome by hundreds of sports lovers.
Secretary of Bihar Kabbadi Association Anjani Kumar Singh was also present at the airport to receive Singh.
