Govt simplifies registration process

The state government has simplified procedures in the registration department so as to augment its revenue receipts by making it more efficient, apart from ending the ordeals faced by the people getting their land registered.

A government release said to benefit the common man, rates of fees have been made more simple and elaborate, while the procedure for getting the copies of the registration done has also been reformed. Moreover, to prevent any occurrence of irregularity in the registration work, both the seller and purchaser of land have to put their finger prints on the documents besides getting videographed, the release added.

To increase the efficiency, the registration offices in the districts have been computerised. Besides, computerisation has helped in linking the district offices with the state headquarters.

Meanwhile, the labour resources and training department has taken strict measures to prevent engagement of children below 14 years of age in various work, like in hotels and industries or as domestic help.
